Background:
After seventeen years in the
public education system as a band teacher and guidance counselor I
stepped WAY out of my comfort zone to join the staff of Bow Valley
Christian Church as their Pastor of Worship and Arts in August of 2003.
BVCC is a happening, multi-generational, multi-cultural,
non-denominational evangelical church in Calgary, AB. With Pastor Rick
Scruggs at the helm, we are vibrant expression of Gods grace in motion
as we join together to worship God, learn more about Him, and serve each
other and the Calgary area in His name. We're growing, God is blessing
what were doing, and we're having a lot of fun in the process!
The acceptance and support of the
staff, board, and congregation at BVCC has allowed me to develop my
songwriting skills to the point that I have embarked on this CD project
of original worship songs. With over 25 talented players volunteering
their time, energy, and talents, and the encouragement of my fellow NW
Calgary Worship Pastors, friends, and family; and Anthony Packwood at
Trinity Studios working his magic we released my debut CD
"Together" on November 24th, 2006. This CD was truly a group
effort, and I'm very grateful for the encouragement and support I've
received along the way.

Mike's
Thesis
Mike completed a
Master's Degree in Leadership & Training from Royal Roads
University in 2005.
His thesis was
entitled
"From Assessment to Strategic Vision" and
was a catalyst for growth and the launch of a new strategic
vision and five year plan for his church.
